Letters on appropriate topics will be printed as presented, although the Sun reserves the right to edit or refuse letters that are, in the opinion of the publisher, potentially libelous, in poor taste or too long. The limit on length is 250 words.

We suggest keeping letters brief and to the point to allow publication of as many views as possible. To expedite processing, we encourage writers to type and double-space their letters. Handwritten letters should be limited to one page. Please do not type in all caps. Letters must be signed and include an address and daytime telephone number. Addresses and telephone numbers will not be published, but are a means of verifying the authenticity of the letter. Printed, typed, or handwritten letters without signatures, addresses and phone numbers will not be published.
